ABOUT US
MBee FEA is dedicated to providing its clients with advanced simulations for the most demanding engineering applications. We offer affordable predominately finite element analysis modelling service for companies across many market sectors including defence, automotive, consumer electronics, medical devices and construction to name a few.
OUR PEOPLE
Our Technical Director Matthew Biginton completed a Physics masters degree and went on to do a Ph.D in electromagnetism at the University of Exeter and subsequently an integrated circuit design course at University of California Berkeley. He has worked in the fields of Radio Frequency, Consumer Electronics (Displays and MEMS) and Medical Devices. He has helped these industries develop often complex multi-physics modelling techniques in order to understand the technology that is being developed, the subtleties involved and to provide solutions that ultimately lead to the development of a safe, effective and optimised product. This 14 year career has involved modelling problems of electromagnetism, MEMS, Acoustics, Magnetics, CFD, Heat Transfer and Interactions of device outputs with the human body. Matt has 9 years experience using HFSS and 7 years experience using COMSOL Multiphysics in addition to other software platforms.
Save Time and Money on Product Development
We can help you save time on your product development providing insight to the most demanding technical challenges.
Unlock Your Products Full Potential
We hold the key to develop your product to its full potential by building upon your work. We have a wealth of experience modelling complex multi-physics problems in the consumer electronics, defence and medical device industries.
Generate New Ideas and Intellectual Property
Using Finite Element Analysis we can solve complex problems, visualise and analyse the physics and use the resulting knowledge to help you gain a competitive edge in performance
Take Advantage of our Expertise
With experience gained over the last 14 years in the field of finite element modelling we have the technical expertise to help you with any challenge.

"Matt is what I would consider an innovator - he always seems to come up with 3 or more ways to approach a problem. Matt and I worked in the same group during our PhD and then together at Arkiris. Here we were both involved in taking ideas from academic concepts to functional prototypes. He’s a great member of a team, always happy to discuss new ideas, think through problems, and do the research to get a good grounding in the area. Matt really enjoys experimenting and worked quickly (but thoroughly) to design, model, prototype and refine solutions, all with future manufacture in mind. Matt was determined to find an elegant solution, and this certainly paid off when he was able to present to the Queen in 2012."
Celia, Exeter

“Matthew is a personable, innovative scientist with a strong background in physics, electronics and magnetics. He stands out as being able to think out of the box, this brings great value to the business in which he works through his inventiveness. His scientific rigor is solid with logical progression of ideas well tested and documented. He understands the value of intellectual property and formulates it for the benefit of the business. Matthew is skilled at helping his colleagues untangle complex problems and bringing them to a reasoned resolution based on solid data and analysis. He has an ability to communicate complex research, making it come alive in the product development domain. This allows him to work well with a range of colleagues to bring new ideas and products to realisation. I would welcome the opportunity to work with Matthew again in the future.”

“I worked with Matthew at Sharp Laboratories of Europe Ltd on COMSOL-based finite element analysis simulation models. Matthew’s strong abilities in developing, documenting and explaining his models made him a pleasure to work with. Always keen to learn new skills, his creative ideas to solve product development problems made him a great co-worker.”
